FAA Part 107 Test-Prep - Class In-Person @ Florida Drone Supply Ft. Myers FL

Starting at 9am promptly and concluding at 5pm both Saturday and Sunday… We will have a working lunch and encourage everyone to bring a sack lunch or plan to order delivery.  (Please budget $10-20 for lunch)

The In-person Class fee is $150 and if we provide all of the text it is an additional $20 to print and have these ready.  

Please prepurchase the books at least 48h prior so we have enough ready for the class. 

*** The Class fee also Does not include the Testing Fee payable directly to the FAA Testing Service***

The schedule is both Sat and Sunday 9am-5pm (No break for lunch)

  • Day 1 (Sat) - We will go through
    • All of the Test Prep Booklets,
    • We will go in-depth into Air Space and Charts
    • The AC 107-2a
    • We will read through the Title 14 CFR Part 107 regulations
    • We will learn about METARs and TAFs

This information will be quickly reviewed and will be an all-day 9-5 Discussion style format.  You will need to do more study at home before taking the test.  But you will confidently know what to and how to study for the test.     

  • Day 2 - We will start by going over questions and anything missed from day 1 then.  We will as a group do practice questions from the Dauntless Prep Software.  During this time we will review actual test questions and discuss each question as they are asked—wrong answers, correct answers, and why for each. 

 

To be best ready for the class on the day of please:

Bring with you:

  1.  The test booklets unless you purchase them from Air Operations Inc.  (If so they will be provided when you arrive)
  2.  Hi-lighter
  3.  Post-it notes 
  4.  Pen or Pencil and a notepad. 
  5. Coffee Cup and/or water bottle
  6. Lunch money if you plan to group order.

 

 

The Textbooks needed.  And included in the print option are:

  4. The hard copy of the 107 regulations printed from the web
  5. Notes from the FAASafety.gov class

If you wish you can download, print, or order all of the above yourself from Amazon or the web.   The text does not generate any revenue for us the fee simply covers our printing fees incurred. 

We will also use the Dauntless test prep software on Sunday for the test question pool  

Can also purchase the Dauntless Test Prep Software for yourself to do practice tests.  On your own or you can rent a computer with the software already pre-loaded.  Rental of the computer is $20 per week.

If you would like PSI the testing company also offers a free practice test on their website.  But they are sample questions, not actual test questions.

Once you have completed the test prep you will need to apply for your IACRA “FTN” number. So you can sign up for the written test on the PSI website or via a local testing center.

To get the FTN to go to  "https://iacra.faa.gov/IACRA/Default.aspx"  Then go to PSI to schedule the test you will need to make arrangements online and pay them for the exam at. That time.  The link is- "https://faa.psiexams.com/FAA/login"

Sadly it must also be stated that if you sign up for a class and are late, or do not show up for any reason.  Refunds cannot be issued, as we have made accommodations and have already paid for the facility and instructors.   If you need to reschedule please contact michael@airopsinc.com at least 48hours prior to see if this is possible at that time.
